FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
What is KteePee?
KteePee is a simple, fast navigation tool for festivals and temporary events.
It helps you find your tent, your mates, vendors, stages, and anything else on site.
---
Does KteePee track me?
No.
Your location stays on your device.
We don’t store it, sell it, or upload it.
---
Do I need signal or Wi‑Fi?
No.
Once an event pack is downloaded, KteePee works offline.
---
How do I save my tent/location?
Open the app → tap Save Tent → done.
It stores the location on your device so you can find it later.
---
Why does the arrow sometimes wobble?
Because phone compasses are sensitive to:
- Metal objects
- Speakers
- Stages
- Vehicles
- Power cables
Walk a few steps and it stabilises.
---
Is KteePee safe to use at night?
Yes — but LOOK WHERE YOU’RE GOING.
The app gives direction, not permission to walk blindly.
---
Does KteePee work at every festival?
Only at events that provide an official event pack.
If your festival isn’t supported yet, tell them to get in touch.
---
Can I use KteePee to find my friends?
Not yet.
Right now it’s for tents, vendors, and event navigation only.
---
Does KteePee drain my battery?
It uses less battery than Google Maps because it only tracks direction, not full GPS routing.
---
What if the map looks wrong?
The event organiser may have changed something on site.
Check signage and staff instructions — they override the app.
---
Is KteePee free?
Yes for attendees.
Organisers and vendors may pay for enhanced features.
